Community Guidelines

First published: August 15, 2026 · Last updated: August 15, 2026

Styla is a place to discover fashion through people whose taste you trust. These Guidelines describe the community we are building and what we ask of everyone in it. They supplement our Terms of Use — the binding standards are Section 34 of the Terms, and where these Guidelines and the Terms differ, the Terms prevail.

1. The Spirit of These Guidelines

Everything here comes down to one idea: Styla should feel like getting dressed with a friend who wants you to look and feel good. Content and conduct that build that feeling belong here. Content and conduct that trade on insecurity, deception, or harm do not.

Publishing on Styla is an invitation, not a right. Curators and brands are invited, reviewed, and approved — and what we ask in return is that what you publish lives up to these Guidelines.

2. Be Authentic

Post your real style, your real opinions, and your real experiences. Do not impersonate another person or business, misrepresent who you are, run multiple accounts to mislead, or use bots, engagement farming, or manufactured interactions of any kind.

If you have a commercial relationship that a reasonable person would want to know about when weighing your recommendation, disclose it. Styla labels partner and affiliate links, and nothing you post should undermine that transparency.

3. Respect People

No harassment, bullying, or threats. No hate speech or symbols, and no attacking people for who they are — including their race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or appearance. No revealing anyone's private information.

Criticism of an outfit is fashion. Criticism of the person wearing it is not. Comment on others' posts the way you would want strangers commenting on yours.

4. Fashion, Bodies and Self-Image

Fashion content is content about bodies, and we take seriously what a feed of bodies can do to the person scrolling it — especially when that person is a teenager. This section applies to everyone and is a condition of publishing for curators and brands, whose posts reach the widest audience.

Do not post content that promotes disordered eating or presents an unhealthy body as an aspiration. That includes content that idealizes extreme thinness or extreme body modification; content framing food restriction, detoxes, or weight loss as the path to a look ("what I eat in a day to fit into…"); body-checking content, where the subject of the post is the measurement or display of body parts rather than the clothes; and before/after body transformations presented as outfit content.

Style the clothes, not the body. The test we ask curators to apply: is this post about what I'm wearing, or about the body wearing it? Celebrate fit, color, proportion, and personal style on the body you actually have. Do not use editing tools to reshape your body in ways a garment never could, and do not caption a look with what someone would need to weigh to wear it.

No supplement, appetite-suppressant, or weight-loss product content, ever. These products cannot be sold on Styla, and outfit posts must not be used to market them from the outside. If you see content that worries you — about anyone's relationship with food or their body — report it; reports are reviewed by a person.

5. Keep People Safe

No sexual content involving minors, in any form, anywhere — including private messages. We scan every uploaded image against known child sexual abuse material, we report to the authorities as the law requires, and this is the one category where we act first and review after.

No nudity or sexually explicit content. No graphic violence, no content promoting self-harm or suicide, and no content depicting or promoting illegal drugs or weapons. Messaging is for conversation — not spam, harassment, unsolicited commercial pitches, or moving someone somewhere less safe.

Adults on Styla should assume that any account may belong to someone as young as 16 and behave accordingly.

6. Honest Commerce

Sell what you actually have, describe it truthfully, and ship what you sold. No counterfeit or stolen goods, no misleading pricing or availability claims, and no age-restricted products sold to people the law says cannot buy them.

Do not manipulate the commission system: no self-purchases, circular transactions, or fake engagement to inflate earnings. Curator recommendations must be real recommendations — a tag is a statement that you stand behind the product.

7. Respect Creative Work

Post your own photos and writing. Do not post others' copyrighted work without permission, use brands' logos or watermarked imagery as if they were yours, or pass off runway, editorial, or stock photography as your own content.

If you believe your work has been infringed on Styla, the Terms describe how to send a copyright complaint.

8. Reporting and Enforcement

Every post, comment, profile, and message can be reported, and reports are reviewed by people. Depending on severity, violations can lead to content removal, feature restrictions, suspension from commercial programs, account suspension, or permanent termination — the enforcement ladder is described in the Terms, along with your right to appeal and our complaints procedure.

These Guidelines will evolve with the community. Material changes will be published here, and the date at the top of this page tells you when that last happened.
